More Bloopers

While writing GUI Bloopers, I was constantly on the lookout, in software and websites I encountered, for good examples of the bloopers discussed in the book. Colleagues who knew I was writing the book sent me examples of bloopers they found. Even though the book is now done and printed, I am still collecting good examples of the bloopers. I also occasionally find entirely new bloopers: design errors that either I overlooked while researching the book, or that have become common since then.

This page presents both new bloopers and new examples of bloopers. It is organized into the same blooper-categories as the book. Examples of bloopers are marked to indicate whether they are new examples of bloopers discussed in GUI Bloopers or new bloopers not mentioned in the book.

Many of the bloopers and blooper examples were contributed by people who read GUI Bloopers, visited www.GUI-Bloopers.com, and responded to my request for more bloopers. In such cases, I credit the contributor.

If you have a blooper to submit, post a note in the Discussion Center. If the blooper is in a website, include the address of the website. If the blooper is in desktop software, just describe the blooper, and Jeff Johnson will decide whether to contact you for more details.
